China, Russia Wrap Up 15-Day Naval Patrol
The bilateral patrol followed joint naval drills held from August 1 to 5 in the waters and airspace surrounding Vladivostok, a key Russian port city on the Pacific coast. The exercise was designed to deepen military cooperation and enhance combat readiness between the two powers.
According to official reports, both navies took turns commanding the operation and frequently shared control in an effort to bolster joint operational capabilities. The coordinated mission featured a range of exercises, including joint search-and-rescue operations, mid-sea replenishment drills, escort missions, and integrated air defense responses.
The extended patrol underscored a growing military alignment between Beijing and Moscow, coming at a time of heightened global tensions and shifting power dynamics in the Asia-Pacific region.
Throughout the mission, both sides demonstrated close coordination and cooperation, emphasizing their strategic intent to deepen interoperability in complex maritime environments.
